2024 CAEA Conference registration pricing includes access to all keynote addresses, workshops, and presentations.

The Artist's Studio hands-on workshops require the additional purchase of tickets, which needs to be done when registering for the conference.

The Artist's Studio workshops require at least 5 attendees to take place and will be cancelled if enrollment is too low. You will be informed if that is the case at least two weeks before the conference and you will be offered the opportunity to select another available workshop or receive a refund of your registration fee.

This workshop is an interactive creative workshop encouraging participants to combine word and image in a creative way. Mini Mosaics

Learn how to create a mosaic tile artwork from wet clay to a finished project. Artists will use paper to design a mosaic tile project. They will cut and paste the paper template to understand how to make the clay tiles and accommodate for clay shrinkage. Then, finished glazed and fired tiles will be provided to assemble their own mini coaster or trivet. Artist will use mastic to stick the tile to a wood backing. Grout will be used to fill the gaps and finish the artwork. Artists will leave with a finished sample that they can scale to any larger student project, ex: skateboard blank or larger wood canvas.

Gelli Plate Printmaking

Learn to use the Gelli plate and make unique and vibrant multi-layer monoprints by hand! In this workshop, learn how to apply paint onto a Gelli plate, create masks, incorporate stencils, layer pain and build up multiple layers. Participants will create unique mulit -layered prints that be matted or framed or used in creating mixed media art.
